“Then they will ask, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger? When did we see You without clothes or sick or in prison and did not care for You?’ Then He will say to them, ‘For sure, I tell you, because you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’
SHIP: Samaritan Homeless Interim Program
"SHIP, the Samaritan Homeless Interim Program, began operations on March 5, 1984 in response to the unheeded cry of the many women, children and men who are in desperate need of emergency housing and associated services.
SHIP is a faith based, interfaith and community funded, assisted and supported, grassroots organization. At SHIP we create programs and services that increase the Somerset County and surrounding regions capacity to respond to the needs of the poor and working poor."
Our community at Simply Grace supports this mission by providing lunches to be distributed to clients. For more information on SHIP visit their website.
NORWESCAP: Backpack Program
"The Backpack Program is designed to meet the needs of hungry children at times when other resources are not available, such as weekends and school holidays. The program is being offered during the school year to students identified as being food-insecure."
Our community at Simply Grace supports this mission by bringing food donations quarterly from our donation shelves in the back of the church. For more information on the Backpack Program visit their website.
We support the community at La Esperanza Honduras annually through donations of school supplies and new school shoes. We have worked with this community for the last 5 years and celebrate our continued relationship with them. Look out for donation needs in the fall.
