SHIP: Samaritan Homeless Interim Program
"SHIP, the Samaritan Homeless Interim Program, began operations on March 5, 1984 in response to the unheeded cry of the many women, children and men who are in desperate need of emergency housing and associated services.
SHIP is a faith based, interfaith and community funded, assisted and supported, grassroots organization. At SHIP we create programs and services that increase the Somerset County and surrounding regions capacity to respond to the needs of the poor and working poor. SINCE MARCH 5, 1984 WE HAVE SERVED 0VER 100,000 PEOPLE Clients coming to SHIP are in desperate need of help. Many are the working poor. They include those that suffer from homelessness or being near homeless. Many are hungry or suffer from substance abuse dependency, HIV/AIDS, mental health issues, or neglect and isolation. Services are tailored to each individual's need and vary in duration according to each individual or families situation. SHIP provides this unique population with critically needed emergency interim services. These services may include advocacy, emergency interim housing, interim counseling, and support services, that greatly enhance their chances of regaining their self-sufficiency again. SHIP is dedicated to improving the quality of life for the poor. Clients are eligible to apply for all of SHIP's Programs and Services."
Simply Grace supports this mission by providing lunches Bi-Monthly to be distributed to clients.

We are so excited to be sending over 150 pairs of school shoes & gift (shoe)boxes for Christmas to La Esperenza Honduras. We also put together numerous Hygiene kits to be handed out to the community members.

2nd Time Around Clothing Collections
There is a shed in the back parking lot for passing unused items on to those in need! All donations can be placed in plastic bags and in the shed at the back of the church.
Donations might include: Used clothing, shoes, belts, purses, linens, blankets, drapes, stuffed animals. Please NO rags, fabric scraps, toys or household goods. Our facility cannot accommodate non–clothing items.
All proceeds go to missions.
